INFINITIs are known for their dependability, luxury, and very high safety standards. INFINITI safety technology is market-leading, and your vehicle contains a variety of systems dedicated to protecting you and your passengers. We want to tell you about some of the technology that keeps you safe when you’re behind the wheel.

Predictive Forward Collision Warning

This technology acts like another set of eyes scanning the road ahead of you. It uses a combination of cameras and radar to vehicles in front of your INFINITI. The system compares your vehicle’s speed against up to two vehicles ahead of you. It uses this information to determine if you’re getting too close and the potential for an accident.

This system will sound a warning and illuminate an icon on your control panel if it judges that you need to take corrective action. It’s very responsive, and you can adjust its distance warning settings based on your driving preferences and driving conditions.

Above View Monitor

Parking, particularly parallel parking, has never been easier than with this feature. It uses four cameras to give you a 360-degree view from above your INFINITI. You can see any objects, vehicles, or pedestrians and it also provides guidelines to assist you when you’re reversing.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert

This feature works with the monitoring system above. If any object enters its field of vision, it immediately alerts you to prevent a possible accident.

Lane Departure Warning & Prevention

This system monitors your INFINITI to ensure that it stays with the white lines on the road. If it detects that the wheels are unintentionally moving into another lane, it displays a warning. It will also gently turn the steering wheel to bring the wheels back into the lane again. The technology only takes over when you’re not actively steering.

Blind Spot Monitoring

When you’re driving, it can be easy not to notice something, particularly if it’s in a blind spot. While it is important to always use your rearview and side mirrors, this technology uses sensors to give you an extra edge. If you’re changing lanes and it detects something approaching in the other lane, it gives an audible warning. It will also lightly steer or brake, depending on the situation, to prevent a collision.

Backup Collision Intervention

This system’s sensors watch the area behind you. When you shift into reverse, they determine if you are too close to any object behind you. The system will sound a warning and brake automatically.

These are just some of the ways the advanced technology in an INFINITI can protect you from harm. If you’d like to know more, contact us today at INFINITI of Lexington in Lexington, KY.
